No New Posts Financial District

The core of Providence, the Financial District is where all the higher end businesses run. Stores, restaurants, banks, entertainment industries, and medical offices are all staffed here, meeting together in the center of a brightly lit square. Many of the businesses are noble owned but staffed but civilians, though a few members of the upper class seem to enjoy the work. The district is full of tall skyscrapers, gleaming with dark glass windows, advertisements, and a city run transportation system of taxis and buses carts those who can't afford a vehicle from work to home.

The largest and most profitable company in Providence, Turntech Industries was created by a conglomeration of the founding families. While it's head location is centered in Providence, TurnTech also owns a number of factories in the lower districts as well as maintains the city's vertical farms. It also manufactures the technology present in Identity Chips, and Providence's defense programs. The main building is a large skyscraper, comprised of laboratories and offices. It's also host to TurnTech's main computer, MAL; a large robotic unit that helps control the company.

No New Posts The Academy

The largest school in Providence, the Academy offers services and classes to those who can pay, or those who have pledged military service. Generally a school for noble children and the upper middle class, the Academy doubles as a military training facility and base of operations for the Providence Military. It's both a good way to garner recruits and protect the military's operations from the rebels or the Underground by being so near the children. Separated from the school, The Academy is comprised of a main building, training field, weapons warehouse and the barracks. The schoolchildren are forbidden from crossing the field that splits the two halves, but getting as close as you can to the base is something of a popular dare.

Board Description
Downtown Providence
The central business district of Providence, the downtown area is made up of a mix of tall skyscrapers and old gothic architecture. High rise apartments and suites stare out from the tallest towers over the whole of Providence, where old stone and gargoyles mix with fluorescent signs, plate glass windows and radio towers. Clubs and bars wind their way between bakeries and flower shops, catering to those who live a nightly lifestyle. The main station for the PCPD is located here, as well as numerous shops, small parks and schools. In the east, the main entrance to Providence is located, protected by a high barrier and numerous tolls and security checkpoints.
