No New Posts Obsidian Ridge Oil Fields

On the edge of the least dangerous geothermal activity in the Gray, Obsidian Ridge is one of the few remaining intact oil fields in the Wasteland. Protected by Ain Soph Aur and staffed by civilians from the rebel towns, the field is a necessary resource for the rebellion and many of the free townships. The oil is processed and is used to power vehicles and other machines needed for survival in the wasteland, and the work provides many civilians with needed funds. While it's location in the Gray serves to guard it from Providence's grasp, as oil supplies dwindle, the danger of a possible invasion increases.

No New Posts Brink's Oasis

Considered a hidden treasure in the middle of a proverbial minefield, Brink's Oasis is a small cove and hot spring that defies the reputation of the surrounding area. Surrounded by a pocket of clean air, the water in the spring is free of the toxins that plague the rest of The Gray, and the temperatures never rise above that of a pleasant bath. Short sandstone cliffs protect the cove from most outside influences, and even more rare; green plants and flowers dot the cliff faces and edges of the spring. The Oasis is a treat for anyone who can brave the geyser basins to reach it, and it's something of a closely guarded secret by the locals.

No New Posts Jericho

A shell of a dead town, Jericho stands open like a rotting wound in the midst of The Gray. A town that probably never saw a good day even before it was bombed to near pieces during the war, Jericho has become a hub of criminal activity and abject poverty. Outside the protection of Ain Soph Aur; though not for lack of trying, the broken buildings have become the squatting places for black market traders, caravans, and criminals hiding from both Providence and the rebellion. The air is toxic with sulfur and chemicals, and the area unstable with volcanic activity. Re-breathers and gas masks are a needed item to survive here, and spending more then a day without one in the toxic air can lead to serious illness.

Board Description
The Gray
Once a desert, changes in the climate have turned the Gray into a large plain of volcanic and geothermal activity. From the Oil Fields, large geyser basins and hot springs stretch over fields of dark volcanic rock and sediment. Fumaroles spew hot steam into the air, and little grows besides dense scrub grass that is toxic with arsenic. Tick -Toads and scavengers are the only wildlife that the area seems to sustain, and numerous sink holes and the acidic, sulfuric air given off by the geysers makes the area dangerous to traverse.
